Teeth Whitening

The final days prior to your wedding are among the most chaotic. So, calm down and when family members ask “is there anything I can do?”, don’t say no – really think of something. You could have them make verification phone calls.

3 Days before -

Eyebrows: When shaping brow hair it is removed by threading, tweezing, dipilatory, or waxing. Never allow yourself to be guided into trying new procedures a few days before your wedding. You could have an allergic reaction.

When tweezing your own brows don’t wait til the last minute. You’ll prevent redness and swelling by grooming them a few days before. Any new growth before the wedding, will be sparse and easy to remove.

2 Days before:

Teeth Whitening: If you’re not having your teeth whitened professionally, try one of the whiteners designed for home use. These don’t have the before and after results that the dentist produces, but it will brighten your smile. Please don’t think that leaving the product on your teeth longer will give whiter results, it won’t.

I know a guy who left his teeth whitener on all night, thinking it would whiten in one application. It didn’t, but it did remove the top layer of enamel from his teeth and now he suffers with temperature sensitivity. Simply follow the directions, and you won’t have any problems.

1 Day Before:

Manicure and Pedicure: Take your hand cream, your polish, base and top coat for use with your manicure and pedicure. Keep your hands and feet looking and feeling soft. If your natural nails are being groomed, a good top coat of polish really does prevent dulling or chipping for about 4 or 5 days.

Bridal Tip: On your way home, stop and have a jeweler give your ring a professional cleaning. It should only take minutes and not cost much if anything at all. Therefore, when you give your hand to show your ring, the impression will be a positive one.

On Your Wedding Day:

“Tip of the Day”: Don’t drive yourself anywhere. You’ll be too distracted to focus all your attention on the road. Also, ask you maid of honor to keep your touch up items in a small brides purse, which should only include your compact or mirror, lipstick and/or gloss and a ladies handkerchief. A lace handkerchief looks more appropriate for your wedding than a Kleenex.

Remember what’s important about the day; your groom and loved ones are with you, so anything negative is incidental – let someone else take care of it. The biggest and best “Tip of the Day”: Try to relax and make sure that your radiant smile and bridal glow is what will be remembered about you on your wedding day.
