Teeth Whitening
teeth-beforeafter-01 Your lifestyle has a great effect on the appearance of your teeth. If you drink wine, colas, tea, coffee or use tobacco products it will show on your teeth.

Your teeth will even show age, getting yellower as you get older.

Regular brushing, even with a 'whitening' toothpaste will help to a certain extent with surface stains, but to get teeth as white as possible the deeper stains and discoloration must be removed.

Only professional teeth whitening treatments from your dentist OR whitening systems like those supplied by our Teeth Whitening Express Lab can do the deep, full cure bleaching needed to remove stains and discoloration beyond the surface of your teeth.

Gum Disease Is the Silent Enemy

Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

Periodontal ( gum ) disease is regarded as a much some times overlooked disease. This condition is seldom blamed for other health problems. We now understand the bacterium that causes gumdisease, travels through our blood stream and can invade various organs inside our body making existing conditions worse. This doesn’t occur in an instant but through time. Reflecting back with own bout with gum disease, I had not a clue what this ailment was or what damage it causes.

My teeth were strong and my gums were healthy. Little did I understand that the bacteria that causes this complaint was working on my gum line and gradually working it’s way into the gum pockets. Once there, the bacteria found a property to breed. Again, this didn’t occur in an instant but it surely took months for it to turn into noticeable.

The Usage of Anesthesia in Dentistry

Monday, April 9th, 2012

Numerous individuals who call themselves dental patients can use sedatives whenever they have a dental appointment and this has been going on for years. The procedure of taking out a chomper meant that one dentist, during the 1800s, was put under specialized nitrogen gas for the first time. When he finally woke up, this dentist commented on the value that nitrous oxide will have in the field of dentistry. You have here the dental professional that found out the worth of anesthesia when used in dentistry. Visit tmj to learn more about dentistry.

About a hundred years passed and this initial discovery of anesthetics was followed by an official residency during the 1900s. The use of sedation in dentistry has been around for so long and shows no signs of ever dwindling. It is easy for dentists these days to provide the necessary forms of sedation to those who seek treatments from them. There are levels of training that are ideal for proper anesthesia application and with adequate training, dentists have the capacity to make use of different types of sedatives. Basically, there is a need for a thorough evaluation of each patient so that the dentist will know what they need and what it is that they fear so that it will be possible for him or her to provide the kind of treatment that will yield a positive outcome.

How Does Zoom Teeth Whitening Work and Is It Available in Bakersfield California?

Friday, January 27th, 2012

The Zoom Teeth Whitening system is not a complicated one, though it must be done by a dentist or trained technician and cannot be attempted at home. The first step is to prepare your mouth for the process by covering your lips and gums, so that only your teeth feel the effect of the bleaching gel. You will then have the gel applied across the whole surface of your teeth and the light will be turned on. The two aspects will work together to break down stains and discoloration, leaving teeth looking brighter and whiter. Standard procedure is to have three blocs of 15 minutes, meaning a 45-minute procedure in total. Zoom teeth whitening is in fact so effective, that you can get up to 8 shades whiter in that 45 minute procedure, though not everyone achieves this straight away. Look for practices in Bakersfield California that offer this (as well as other services like porcelain veneers), as there are many excellent deals to be had.

There are many kind of professional whitening, though Zoom teeth whitening is considered to be the best by many people. The definition of professional procedures to make your teeth white is essentially a process where your licensed dentist or dental professional manages your tooth whitening process by helping you decide what level and type of whitening is best for you. They would then either administers the process directly, or provide clear direction to you for self-administering at-home.
