For their simplicity and elegance, and their ability to explain seemingly complex facts, evolutionary theories are fascinating. Before the development of evolutionary theory, many people thought that the complexity of life on earth could only be explained by appealing to an intelligent designer, namely God. But then Charles Darwin sailed to the Galapagos Islands, and developed a theory that has allowed those after him to develop simple explanations for how the most intricate of biological architecture has come about.
The human jaw bone is an example of a complex biological structure. One fascinating thing about it is that it seems perfectly adapted to its use, for the mastication of food, and for the forming of words. It is this apparent suitability that philosophers of religion would point to as evidence for God’s intervention. However, evolution can quite simply account for the formation of this structure, without mentioning an external, intelligent agent. Here is a brief description of that formation.

Harvard Medical School research workers examined longevity and found that 1 of the most critical contributing aspects was everyday flossing. Simply because it removes bacteria from the teeth and gums, flossing assists to stop periodontal illness and gingivitis. One more study observed that men with periodontitis had a whopping 72% greater risk of creating coronary illness. Gingivitis was associated with a 42% increased risk for men. Over the years, those lucky enough to have it, have discovered their dental insurance not necessarily as sufficient as expected. Accordingly, especially if self-paid, it may seem less justifiable than a discount dental plan, another way for lowering dental expenses whether for a person or the entire household.
While discount dental plans should not be confused with insurance, nor should they be quickly dismissed. Offered by large insurance companies like Aetna, they require very little monthly cash outlay and come in more than handy when a dental appointment yields the news no one looks forward to hearing. Whether for routine exams, cavity fillings, or caps, there is certain savings, however. As long as one goes to the dentist regularly, the small amount required to pay the discount plan will surely be surpassed. Thus, there is genuine savings in the end. Obviously, to be paying for a plan and not receive check-ups, cleanings, and so forth would render paying for either insurance or a discount plan totally ineffective.
